This website is for the observation and analysis of the Conjunto Folklórico Nacional in Cuba using the tools of folkloric study. The Conjunto Folklórico will be examined individually as a text in its practice and connection to afro-Cuban rituals and religion, as well as in the larger context of Cuban history and society with special consideration given to the influence of a socialist government, revolutionary ideas, and Castro's raceless society.
